A mixtape CD is a vessel for connectivity in the physical and digital space, which is relevant now more than ever as Covid-19 forces us to rethink the ways that we connect with each other physically and digitally. Growing up, mixtape CDs were a way to connect with your friends or your crush in an intimate way, letting you communicate your feelings, musical sophistication and creativity.

For the next however many weeks or months as we isolate on a global scale, Jody Just will be releasing mixtape CDs in collaboration with our musical friends with appearances from Felly (USA), Huskii (AU), Kwame (AU) , Richie Quake (USA), Chuck Page (USA), Flex Mami (AU), Blessed (AU), Marty Bugatti (AU) and Okkaido (AU), with more artists being announced.

Physical CDs have been made in limited runs as multimedia original artworks. The mixtapes are also available for streaming via Spotify, but like all mixtapes there’s some underground shit on there you might have to dig for.

We hope to create new connections and relationships with one another and to remember that the feelings we might be feeling at home, aren’t feelings we’re feeling alone.
